Intensified colour and slight redness are normal and a part of the initial stages of healing. Redness will fade in a few hours.
In a few days, the microstrokes we did will start to oxidize and form light scabs, and they might look a tiny bit darker and thicker. As the skin heals, your brows will begin to flake lightly. Please refrain from picking at your brows as you run the risk of removing pigment in the process.
When the scabs fall off, do not feel discouraged if the strokes are not immediately visible or appear to have healed patchy. Over the next few weeks as your skin naturally exfoliates your brows will gain strength in colour, settling between weeks 6 and 8. The healed result will be approximately 30% – 50% lighter than the first day.
To achieve best healed results, follow these simple guidelines.
Wash the tattooed area GENTLY 3-5 times a day (every 4-6 hours) with lukewarm water and a disposable paper towel, gauze or cotton round.
Pat the area dry and apply a THIN layer of the barrier cream that has been supplied to you.
Avoid allowing the shower to spray directly on your brows while bathing. After bathing, pat the area dry and re-apply a thin layer of the barrier cream.
Avoid applying any products other than the barrier cream to your brows.
Avoid picking or scratching at your brows. Apply barrier cream more frequently if your brows are itchy.
Avoid sun exposure throughout the healing process.
Avoid exercising or sweating throughout the healing process.
Avoid all chemical exfoliants on your brows and forehead for the next 8 weeks, such as:
Hyaluronic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid
AHA’s and BHA’s
Retinoids (Retinol/Retin-A)
Topical Vitamin C
